The Lion King was a beautiful trainwreck.

Most of the scenes barely, barely work because of your memories of the original movie.

Without it, not much would work as it is impossible to resolve the Photo real CGI/I am gonna emote you anyway contradiction.

MPC will get all the CGI jobs from now on and and ILM/Weta/Framestore/Dneg/DD will go bankrupt in 5 years.

Seth Rogen was the clear MVP.

Like I said on Telegram, I choose to blame the producer(s) and director.  

 

edit: on second thought, I went and looked at the credits. Seems it's a super-low budget movie (the editor is the DP), probably done for a few tens of thousands, and Netflix likely bought it on the cheap.

that is gonna be one expensive trip to NYC and a total celeb blood bath at the 2021 Tonys.

I was aware of the movie but might've overlooked the detail that it was gonna be adapted from a stage show heh. But hey, it's gotta be better than either of the Glee episodes that were centered around her songs (the second inexplicably even had the Brittany character having a meltdown similar to Britney's circa 2007), right?

I wanted to include The Insider because of us sneaking cigarettes back then as pre-teens, but we'll get back to that and i'll edit it in.
