Dear Disney, Close The Hall of Presidents

Dear Disney, Close The Hall of Presidents (themeparkinsider.com)

Honestly I'd be fine with them closing it since it's always been the dullest attraction in all of Disney World by far but all jokes aside it's probably going to happen, or at the very least they'll take him out and pretend this section in history never happened. After all, they're already retooling Splash Mountain to a The Princess and the Frog theme, not to mention they removed the Confederate flag from the U.S. section of Epcot long before even Charlottesville happened. If they do close it they'll probably work with LMM to put in an abridged version of Hamilton or something.

Yeah, nokthing could ruin a day at a Disney Park then a freaking figure of Donald Trump..

I am sll in favor of Dinsey promoting history, but the Hall Of Presidents has outlived it's day.

How long until we see a movie anlnounced about the Insurrection at the Capitol?

Not for a really long time.

In fact we won't even be getting many nostalgia pieces in the future for the late 2010s/his whole term because who the hell is gonna want to relive it? Smart of Disney in retrospect to use this entire era to revisit their biggest hits, it seems.

Funny enough, there are rumors that Weird Al and LMM are actually working on a nonpartisan theater show at the Hall of Presidents for Disney. Legit a perfect team-up if you ask me!

They weren’t led by him, he was a goofball. Most of them were goofballs. But some of them were armed, wearing combat armor, masks, and carried zipties for hostages. They erected a gallows and from some of the chitchat taken from 8chan and other SM outlets, were planning on executing those they felt were “traitors to America” — aka Schumer, Pelosi, and others.

Most of the hubbub and dunking is on the idiots wandering around doing stupid dumb shit (and they should def be charged for doing that), but there was a component of all this that was much more dangerous and threatening.

I  view armed insurrection against the United States as a damn serious matter.

So does the FBI from the arrestes it has been making.

I think what he's trying to say is with thousands of people dying daily from a pandemic, its hard to care about a bunch of hillbillies walking into a building.

Except, as more details come out, it looks like we were VERY close to either an armed hostage situation, or something much much worse.

Some examples:

Among just a few of the stories about this.

Folks running around with LE grade zip ties are NOT just some random hillbillies whooping it up.

In fact, it looks like a decent percentage of these folks were anything but random low-class folks:

In other words while the initial media glare focused on folks like that guy cosplaying as a Viking as well as images of folks LARPing around, it could have been so so sooooo much worse, and it is only thanks to the heroic actions of some, that we didn't have a full scale 9/11-like tragedy.
