A couple of christmas's back I fell for the hype, bought Ethererum at 700 for 450 dollars. A few months later i was -85% so just forgot about it. Signed in last week to see it had taken me out at 600%  profit.

Moral is to be patient, cryptos always correct after huge gains, atleast it hasn't crashed

Edit: Looks like it crashed 😄

Yea I have around a 1000 Ether. Not a good day.

Well if it makes you feel better I invested more today

When you say 1000 ether, you mean worth $1000 or you actually have 1000 ether?

And yet, strangely, it’s still been nearly 9 years since the last perfect game (though Means came about as close as you possibly can without getting one). Of course, now that I’ve said that, I’m sure we’ll get 3, just like in 2012.

Well, if you want a simple explanation, batting average is literally the lowest its ever been.  In the history of the sport:

And it's nowhere near where it was in 1968 (.299).

Probably too simple of an explanation, but if one wants a start, start with batting average.

---

It's also kinda ironic as I was thinking just a couple of years ago that with starters getting yanked earlier and earlier every passing year, that the no-hitter might become extinct.  Or at least super rare.  Shows what I know.

(do think this is something of an anomaly this year, and one that won't be repeated after the inevitable rule changes start to come down the pike)

What's happened to comedies over the years? Every year we had an R rated comedy breakout but its been years since we've had much released within the genre. Clearly raunchy comedy has been big box office draw over the years so why the slow down? It seems Deadpool is all we get now.

Even todd Phillips opted to steer clear of comedies now in favour of Joker

I'm surprised this controversy didn't become as big as the Ghost in the Shell one, the Airbender one, or the Aloha one (the latter of which I just saw today and I feel was kinda unfairly criticized since the point is that Stone's character looks so white that she has tell literally every person she meets that she's part Asian). I guess the Marvel PR team did a lot of heavy lifting.

Mickey’s Law killed it.

It's because the original Ancient One is seen as a racist oriental mystic stereotype. I remember when she got cast everyone was like "ah yes, what a clever work around for a problematic character" and people didn't really get mad about it until after the fact.

Never listened to her but the way I've seen middle-aged critics talk about the album is just really funny. Saw a headline that called it a flawless gen z pop album or something I have no clue if that critic even knows what they're talking about.

Is Olivia Rodrigo the first major breakout star to come from a Disney+ show (since the Star Wars and Marvel shows tend to feature established actors)? Feel like I've seen her name everywhere all of a sudden.

The disrespect towards Grogu smh

In all seriousness, I feel like Wyatt Russell kind of counts? Not sure if he got any new deals or signed on to anything after F&WS, and I know he's done other stuff before, but nobody saw Overlord, so I think it qualifies.

Wyatt Russell has been around in the industry pretty much his whole life due to being part of a very famous family, so he's not a fresh face. We'll see if Falcon & Winter Soldier leads to starring roles though.
