Only been doing some surface level reading on this so I don't know how much of this is OnlyFans fucking over its sex worker base (pun intentional after reflection) and how much of it is larger structural problems with Finance World not wanting to have anything at all to do with explicit sexual content.

 

My gut instinct tells me that not only was it the folks running OnlyFans wanting to cash out (partially cashing out was mentioned in passing in the linked article) but also that there was some serious trouble on the horizon in making sure that it was a stable company medium to long term.  Having insane Year to Year Growth is great.  Except when it comes to actually managing it as a business.  And if one is constantly having trouble with dealing with banks because you don't have a veneer of respectability... 

Well this is gonna keep happening over and over and over again until Finance World gets over its hangups when it comes to Adult Content.

This is true. Tumblr died despite most users not knowing that it had NSFW content, Only Fans is going to be dead by the end of the year.

We have The Wonder Year and Frasier still to come. Saved By The Bell miraculously made it to season 2.

The Will & Grace and Dallas revivals lasted a couple of seasons.

 

Roseanne revival has lasted too, albeit as a different show after the original's star/creator couldn't help shooting herself in the foot and brought the whole show crashing down with her and they managed to successfully retool it without her.
