Suburbicon is a goddamn mess. The movie has something it wants to say regarding racial tensions, yet it sidelines them and ultimately has nothing interesting in the main plot. None of the characters are sympathetic or dis-likable; they just exist. OTOH, this isn't a boring movie at all, and the 97 minutes or so go by pretty fast. It ain't good, but there's been much worse this year.
