Jigsaw: 66%

Suburbicon: 28%

 

Saw 3D's audience score started at 65%, so there's no reason to assume this will expand beyond the fanbase. It's definitely opening to 20M at least.

I saw Jigsaw today and it might have the most blatantly cheating and desperately contrived script of the entire series which is quite an achievement at this point. It is not a particularly good picture.

Having seen Thor, including the post-credits, yes the credits are pretty fucking long. Felt like 10 minutes for sure.

5.4M (-27.8%)

21.4M Weekend

 

Considering this is the first Saw in the age of 7 PM previews, who knows how this will fare.

IT did 9.1x the previews on OW (13.5=>123). On one hand these were giant numbers, on the other hand Jigsaw is part of a well established theatrical franchise unlike IT so that adds front-loading.

Still, 9-10x for 14.5-16 ow should at least happen.

Damn, no matter how you look at it really, that's a great initial number for Jigsaw. Which is nice to see after how emberassing last weekend was all around.

The Super Bowl drop for Rings makes it a bad comparison for Jigsaw, but it was fairly frontloaded:

 

11.3M (7.04x previews)

11.3M (-0.1%)

3.5M (-69%)

26.1M Weekend

 

Maybe Saturday drops 10% from an 11.3M Friday and Sunday 35%? idk
