Difficult, it dropped more than 50% in OS this weekend, will make another 25M at best.

If it does 2x the weekend more dom, gets 33.5 more. so 33.5 + 25 = 58.5m more ww takes it to 848.5m.

So 850 alive I guess, but tough yeah.

I think the Sunday hold for the family films (Coco in particular are really optimistic) wouldn't surprise me at all to see some decent % adjustments in the actuals. But overall, looks like Saturday was slightly stronger than the first RtH estimates  which is great.

Also - wtf at Daddy's Home 2 actually increasing on Saturday....

~310 OS FOR JL

Total Lifetime Grosses
Domestic:  $171,546,643    35.6%
Foreign:  $309,800,000    64.4%

Worldwide:  $481,346,643

Should get decently close to 450m overseas.... not sure if 500m is totally out of reach but at least 700m WW should be an option (should - not definite)

You could say the same thing about a slew of similar biopics (The Theory of Everything, The Imitation Game, etc.). It won't make as much as any of those movies, but I think it has enough juice to make more than, say, The Danish Girl or Jackie (both of which made sub-$15M) even if it ends up not really factoring into the race beyond Oldman.

Those had additional elements to attract people, Theory worked as a romance in addition to a biopic (and there was more novelty to Hawking as a biopic subject than there is to Churchill right now), Imitation Game had a wartime-thriller aspect to it and starred Cumberbatch at the height of his Sherlock popularity. I think Darkest Hour can come close to Theory if it gets a Best Picture nod, otherwise it'll be lucky to even break 25m.

If it adds 2x the OS weekend more to it's cume gets to 454m. Then needs 246m dom for 700m.

Still tough imo. 2x the weekend more could be tough considering the weekend was inflated by Japan's ow.

Even if it gets there, 246 dom seems high. Even FB legs from now on take it to ~241m.

685-705 ww imo. That shot at 700+ alive.

Hmm

Assuming this plays out like:

• The Good Dinosaur (2.22x), $158M

• Enchanted (2.61x), $185.5M

• Tangled (2.92x), $208.1M

• Moana (3.03x), $215.8M

• A Bug's Life (3.56x), $253.4M

• Frozen (4.28x), $304.9M

I think this will leg out somewhere between Moana and A Bug's Life (3.3x), which gets it to a run of $234.6M. I'd still remove the Frozen "short" ASAP if I were Disney. Coco can survive on its own with excellent WoM and the Frozen brand really doesn't need to be hurt like this.

$670m ww looks more like the target  or O/U MOS ($668m)

I think  O/S will be closer to $425m - even with a 2.5 multi off this O/S weekend that would be $419m O/S

Dom looks around $235m

That's a much better hold for Coco than rths's earlier estimates. Just happy it beat JL this weekend. Figured earlier last week that both Coco and Wonder would take away family business from JL. Looked like that happened due to it dropping harder than stuff like FB, MJ1 & MJ2.

It's also already out on digital. I think it hit yesterday. Really quick considering IT doesn't hit until later next month with the actual Bluray being in January.

Yeah....it needed to be a lot more than fun and colorful. Critics said a lot more about BvS besides it being dark and serious. You're hitting on the same critics who raved about the Nolan Batman trilogy for being just that.

WW balanced the tone of serious/fun a lot better than JL did. Critics responded with rave reviews.

You cant be serious right? Are you another SteveJaros?

If youre serious, you do understand that the massive dislike for BvS caused the drop-off for Justice League right? JL itself beeing a bad movie didnt help either but it doesnt having anything to do with the tone beeing lighter lmfao. Wonder Woman was colorfull and and had a "fun" tone and that didnt stop it from beeing the Summer winner, so your logic stinks.
