Ozymandias
Finally BOM have updated!Prometheus officially over $400M WW!http://www.boxoffice...=prometheus.htmNo, the real update is when(or if) they ever put China's gross on the foreign chart. John Marston
the only problem with making a sequel is that it might decrease domestically
JCS
No, the real update is when(or if) they ever put China's gross on the foreign chart. They probably will never add China as BOM doesn't really bother with China numbers as they cannot get 100% correct sources on it.
Ozymandias
the only problem with making a sequel is that it might decrease domesticallyI kinda doubt that. 73% RT and B+ Cinemascore. People who honestly believed that Prometheus was gonna do over 200m might think that. I predicted 150m Domestic for it because I knew it was gonna have the frontloaded Alien fanboy rush(it was heavily marketed as an Alien prequel even though it wasn't really). Rudolf
If you add up BOM's foreign markets, you get $228m. With China's $34.6m makes $262.6m. So there are still some $12.9m unaccounted for. Edited October 4, 2012 by Rudolf

So there are still some $12.9m unaccounted for. Yes, but BOM is often a little iffy on foreign details. For instance this weeks Italy total BO dropped $400k below it's cume from the week before despite the film making another $500k over the weekend. Plus they're always about $700k behind the reported foreign total week after week. They're way too unreliable. kayumanggi
It's stupidity on Fox's part if they don't make a sequel.
dezorz
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/thr-esq/foxs-jim-gianopulos-talks-sopa-383679 Fox's Jim Gianopulos Talks SOPA Debacle, Steve Jobs, 3D at USC Law Institute One such challenge to the status quo is Fox's decision to make available its June sci-fi hit Prometheus via digital download for $15 three weeks before the typical home video window began — an encroachment into the so-called "Dark Zone" of three months between when a film leaves theaters and when it debuts on home video. Theater owners have objected to studio moves to close the theatrical window, but Gianopulos said such experiments are necessary to the future of all aspects of the business. "Digital downloads of Prometheus outsold Avatar, which was biggest seller ever," he noted.
kayumanggi
402.5 M from BOM. Again, I think that's not updated.
