Thor is 10x better than Valerian. Valerian is a shitty movie

Assuming that you're talking about Thor (2011) and not the Thor films in general, I agree with the implication of your statement, which is that Thor (2011) is a good movie (which I think is criminally underrated).

So there's one guy here trying to shit talk Titanic, a movie that has set records, won Oscars, made billions and had a rerelease that made another 300+ million and yet some of you respond to @JonathanLB?  Why?  Let him talk shit.  There's nothing left for Titanic to prove.  When SW got rereleased in 1997, it was before the internet explosion, before it was available on line and it also had the benefit of the new films coming out in a year.  I love Star Wars.  Favourite film series of all time.  But Titanic is a cultural phenom.  So let Jonathan keep talking his shit.  Just don't respond to him and he'll eventually shush.  It's like Freddy Krueger in the original...when Nancy turned her back on him and didn't give him her fear, he lost his power.  Just do the same with him.

I mean, anyone truly thinking that Titanic was a fad is either trolling, antagonizing or just plain out to lunch.

I can dislike the Potter series, but I won't talk shit about it because the number speak for themselves.

@Christmas baumer

You know I'm always going to agree with you when it comes to Titanic.  My experience with it and feelings in it are well documented by now

But we all know it was just 12 13 year old girls seeing it 85 times each  :ph34r:

JL multipler is now on 2.1 already passed 1.99 multpler for BvS in 3 weekends

I know. Some had it topping out at 180 and gave it the same multiplier as BvS. It will likely end at 2.5 - 2.6 or so, which is about average for a CBM. If that indeed comes to pass, then in my opinion, it also means that the word of mouth wasn’t nearly as bad as BvS. Therefore, the silver lining is that WB can both learn and build on this.

Okay first things first kudos on bringing up Nancy with ANOES she doesn’t get enough credit as a final girl also I’m not disagreeing with anything you said but Star Wars isn’t considered a cultural phenomenon as well?

He meant star wars is, phantom menace is not. Or I am reading it wrong.
