You know I'm always going to agree with you when it comes to Titanic.  My experience with it and feelings in it are well documented by now

But we all know it was just 12 13 year old girls seeing it 85 times each

:P

Pretty much yes! I don’t know any guys who gave two shits about Titanic even if we all saw it.

Nobody is demeaning the film’s remarkable box office run. It was one of the greatest runs of all time! But that doesn’t mean it’s a good movie nor that it wasn’t a fad. It was a fad, nobody cares about that piece of shit anymore not even 15 year old girls. Those girls grew up and got some taste in film too, as evidenced by how many of them don’t care now.

You can appreciate a film’s box office run and accomplishments and still acknowledge that it’s a crappy fad from the past that thankfully faded away into an embarrassing memory.

Long Haul

Mentally going to kick myself but I’ll probably see Long Haul by the end of the year. The first three Wimpy Kids were solid family entertainment and the books were part of my childhood even though this looks like cancer.

- The Disaster Artist will be expanding to 800 theaters next weekend.

- Darkest Hour will be expanding to 50.

- Wonder Wheel will be expanding to the top 10 markets next weekend and go "wide" December 15.

he's mad because it doesn’t have Thor Ragnarok as #1 and if a list doesn’t have that as the masterpiece of cinema for 2017 then it must be bad

I gave it an A- but it’s behind a lot of films imo. All this outrage for a CBM?

No. What’s the problem with it? It’s my opinion. Have you seen all 25 movies?

Honestly, your list isn’t bad. About half of what is your top 10 will be in mine. I still want to check out Ladybird, DA, Shape of water, and Call me by your name before I’m done.

Although nothing this year has come close to my favorite of last year La La Land.
