acab Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 Still too early to see where this is heading. But it needs some good numbers with the budget it has. It will probably do more than 150m. Quote

It will probably do more than 150m.It's doing well in Australia, decent in the UK and gangbusters in the Phillipines. Still a lot of territories yet to open. Universal is doing such a staggered release will be a while before we see how well it does, I guess. Quote

Or are they basically paralleling TDKR foreign releases? Quote
ecstasy Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Any particular reason for the staggered release? Or are they basically paralleling TDKR foreign releases?I didn't see anything specifically stated. Just checked the release dates. It opens in Mexico and Argentina(?) next week. Quote

Well no matter what OS will have to make up some ground to help make up for DOM market. Is 200M asking for too much? Quote
ecstasy Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Thanks. Well no matter what OS will have to make up some ground to help make up for DOM market. Is 200M asking for too much?Well anything is possible. It's just hard to tell at this point. At least it opened well in Australia. Most of the reviewers there gave it a fresh rating. So hopefully it's big there. It needs to do well in the UK also. I'm not sure about the Asian or Latin markets. Just too early to tell. Quote
Totem Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 That is really good for Australia, 4.9m OW is huge start IMO, should close out around 13m or so, seems to be opening well in most markets, should gross 150m or so OS, with a 100m domestic gross that is about breaking even for Universal and we won't see a sequel to this. CJohn Posted August 26, 2012 Author Posted August 26, 2012 LOL epic is epic! Glad Bourne is doing well in Portugal. Really glad it got people out to the theaters.I am amazed. Even more funnier than getting the biggest OW of the franchise is that most people prefered Renner to Damon! WOM is very good. I am hoping for some good legs. Total Recall is the last one to join the party. People already went to see Bourne or Expendables 2. From now until Skyfall box office will be dead here. Quote
