I'm afraid that you don't understand meaning of word ,,probably''. Besides please stop trolling I have never accused anyone that he/she didn't like LJ but they write that they liked this movie. And don't forget that world is bigger than usa, and in most countries LJ had premiere few days earlier.

Started at 4/5 2 days ago.

Today it s at 3,5/5 which is very low for a blockbuster, Thor Ragnarok ended up with a 4/5 and JL had a 3,8/5.

 

Saying plenty of plot elements aren't resonating with audiences is putting it mildly.

Everybody is a fanboy/fan of Star Wars, everybody is invested with what happened with these characters, everybody knows the basic story and mythology of Star Wars, it has been the most famous and well know story in cinema for the last 40 years.

Chances that you never saw the OT and/or Force Awakens while buying a Last Jedi ticket are VERY, VERY low, it probalby represents less than 5% of audiences and like I said, even if you didn't see these 4 films, you know the story from your friends, family, significant others or pop culture references.

I don't deny there aren't various degrees of fanboy-ism among Star Wars fans, I am saying everybody is at least invested and interested in how the plot progresses and what happen exactly to these characters in The Last Jedi.

Everybody cares about Star Wars.

This is being observed on Metacritic and IMDB as well (although to a lesser extent, that score currently is not promising though).

They without question filled with many trolls. Critics, the ones who aren't bitter old men clinging to their precious nostalgia are near universal in their praise of this as one of the best films in the franchise.

 

 

But that is beside the point. No one is going to agree here. Lets get back to the numbers.

I'm sorry. I'm new here. But...

 

Why do we care about "audience scores?" 

 

This is why I hate aggregate sites. I can't keep track of what I need to be celebrating/outraged about.

 

Justice League was 40% Critics/ 80% Viewers and TLJ is 93% Critics/ 62% Viewers

 

So, explain the rules to me... which are we looking at here? If TLJ is "divisive" at 62 and Justice League is "bad" at 80.... what's the point? 

 

The RT critics score isn't terribly scientific, but the audience score is INSANELY not scientific. 

 

Don't worry about a junk number that doesn't seem to reflect anything other than "intensity and urge to post."
