Not solid enough to save Depp's career it seems.

he has had good bo performers in a year that is so troublesome in regards to his personal life. potc5 and motoe will do 1.1b ww combined. of course, that's not on him and he is part of a big team, but still a solid year.

Good to see Jumanji went on the high end

That's low for Showman, but WOM is very strong. It can still make back its budget domestically.

this might seem random as it's just one day's early number, but if the od is 2.8-2.9m and it has the same od to dom multiplier as Sing (270/11), will do ~70 dom.

It opened 70 million above RO which made 72 million in weekdays.

While TLJ seems headed for around 78 million in the weekdays.

With that large of an opening weekend, should have cleared 100 million easily.

Number seems fine. Could gross 120-130 in weekdays from 25th to 29th.

we thought it would clear 100 million for weekdays with ease this week.

Numbers are great but looks like 700 or so is the target for this film now.

I honestly don't see how these numbers for the Last Jedi seem good in any way shape or form. It wasn't a great Monday hold but not bad. The Tuesday number sucks and then Wednesday number sucks.

Numbers are fine in the big picture, sure, but let's be real: these first weekday numbers are lower than most of us thought, regardless of the calendar. TLJ's drops are a tad harsher than RO. Nothing wrong with that. Just saying.

Let's wait until the weekend numbers come along before we start dancing on this movie's grave (...when it's still making a killing at the box office), shall we?

having a tough time seeing north of 110 mon-thu next week:

thu 19.25

fss 27 (+40%) + 30 (+11%) + 15 (-50%) = 72

mon-thu 35 (+133%) + 33 (-5.7%) + 21.5 (-35%) + 20.5 (-4.7%) = 110

(even this is a tad optimistic imo)

what are ur numbers for next mon-thu?

Yep. Time we stop using the calendar as an excuse. It's not flopping. Nobody is speaking in hyperbole here. We just have to start getting real.
