I thought the ending was good in the moment; it's soured with me as I let the film sit.

 

The entire film just loses steam for me after Reynolds dies.  Didn't give a shit about any of the characters.  Pretty hard for me to give a shit about the film itself if I don't care about any of their fates.

It's a horror thriller with comedic/satirical elements.  Don't know if I would fully classify it as a straight up comedy.
