Bajrangi Bhaijaan

Salman Khan's Bollywood hit Bajrangi Bhaijaan will release in China on March 2nd, 2 years and 8 months after its worldwide debut. Are there any other films that had such a long gap between their original opening and their China premiere? Any others that had gaps of more than 1 year?

In fact, there are many films that are released in China a year after their original release date. As for more than 2years, that I am not that sure.

For Example, Natalie Portman's Jackie just opened today (19th January 2018) in China!

The longest gap I can recall was for Rush. It was released in China on12/11/15 more than 2 years after NA on 9/27/13. It didn’t do so well at the box office though, about ¥20M.

Not counting re-releases, along with Rush, I can remember

Vinci: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0425622/releaseinfo?ref_=tt_ov_inf

Opened on Sep 7, 2004 in Poland, Jan 11 in China

Robert De Niro's Heist: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3276924/releaseinfo?ref_=tt_ov_inf

Opened on Nov 13, 2015 in NA, Dec 08, 2017 in China

gap more two years.

Last year the Film Burea asked local studios to not submit imported films with gaps [between their original opening and their China debuts] of more than two years. So nowadays it is very hard to get those films with gaps of more than two years released.
