This will probably move to next summer. Or maybe at Christmas this year. It's insane they started the marketing campaign with the release of first trailer, last summer.  Marketing campaign so far in advance is not a good idea

Nobody plans on a pandemic happening. That's like asking the makers of Furious 7 why they didn't plan on Paul Walker dying halfway through making the movie.

this will probably move since its demo is in the danger zone for the deadly virus

From the looks of how the US is handling things I wouldn't expect any movie to open there for many months unfortunately.

It feels like it would be jumping the gun moving this and some others. If theaters open back up in June or July which could potentially happen this could have the whole summer to rake in money

Old people aint going nowhere near the cinema for the rest of the year. This will get delayed into next december.

Even if theaters were to reopen by the middle of June (like AMC is hoping), no one is gonna risk their big movie opening at a time when people are still apprehensive of going out to public places and not meeting their potential (especially after how dire the box office got the weekend we reached pandemic level). The Summer 2020 box office is looking to be a lost cause, so might as well start filling out 2021's schedule, especially when the movies for next year that were currently being made are now on hold and will likely see their release dates pushed back.
