Remember that brief moment in time when Hollywood tried to make Kellan Lutz happen (with that flop Hercules movie released a few months before The Rock's)?

LOL, now that you mentioned it!

@DAR You are right though I specified that Cullens are nowhere to be seen. Anna wasn't a Cullen.

It's easy to bring up anyone's audition and poke fun at it.  I'm not the biggest Klein fan but his singing seemed fine to me.  No different than any other actor who isn't a singer by trade.  Ryan Gosling, Hugh Jackman and Russell Crowe come to mind.  So I don't see what all the fuss is about his audition.  That's the thing about an audition, you are at the mercy of casting agents and often you are kind of flying by the seat of your pants.  I've been on my share of auditions and they are nerve wracking and stressful.  Just because he's a name, doesn't mean he isn't susceptible to nerves or a bad audition like the rest of us.  Or maybe he just didn't have what they were looking for.  Poking fun at him seems like arm chair quarterbacking, especially since most of us here would give pretty much anything to at least lived his life for the time he had it.  He made it in Hollywood.  He lived his dream.  He actually did it.

Same with Lautner.  Sure, he didn't go places after Twilight, but from the things I've read about him, there's more to it than just simply Hollywood not wanting to cast him.  But again, forget all of that.  That guy worked his ass off to keep the role of Jacob.  After Twilight they were going to cast another actor because they didn't think Lautner could add the size and mass to look the part of the werewolf.  So he hired a personal trainer and trained and dieted for 6 months to add the muscle needed to allow him to keep the role.  So again, make fun of him all you want, but he did something that a lot of us here would have killed for.  Not only did he make gobs of money for Twilight (he and Stewart and Pattinson all made 25 million for BD 1 and 2 plus 7% of theatical gross) but he had a career in the business.  He's not in it anymore but he took his shot and won.  Hollywood is harsh and cruel and has been to the three of the stars of Twilight after it wrapped, but they all did extremely well from the franchise.

Just seems that it's really easy for many people here to make fun and laugh at stars and yet no one really has any idea how hard they had to work to get where they were.

Demo breakdowns for Hostiles (nothing has shown up for MR):

52/48 gender split in favor of males

96% of the audience is over 25 (JESUS), who gave it a B+

65% of the audience is over 50, who also gave it a B+

1% of the audience is under 18, who gave it an A (under 25 was A-)

72% of the audience is positive

50% of the audience would definitely recommend it

9% of the audience is males under 25, 82% of who liked it

52% of the audience is males over 50, 66% of who liked it

The definite recommend score is pretty low and in the American Assassin range IIRC

Like Scorch TrialsDeath Cure received a "B+" CinemaScore and for the most part the film played similarly across gender lines to its two predecessors with females making up 51% of the total audience. However, it did play slightly older than both the first and second film with 43% of the audience coming in at 25 years or older compared to 33% for Scorch Trials and 36% for the first film.
