But basically anyone who actively combats racism or bigotry is labeled a "SJW". I've rarely have seen or heard right wingers defend a current activist as being an inaccurate example of a SJW.

Well people who think that are idiots...

I think in the mainstream a 'SJW insult' is a person who take legitimate Social justice issues and sort of goes down the rabbit hole.

Like if non-Indians do Yoga = it is cultural appropriation or Aziz Ansari is a rapist!

These people are annoying as they sort of falsely get projected as being a popular opinion to discredit the entire social justice cause when it is just a fringe.

I agree people who cry wolf are annoying and counter-productive but I see very little effort to distinguish those people from the activists with a valid or reasonable social justice causes.

The issue is right wingers and populists have been very effective in projecting the fringes on the left to define the left to get greater support from usual moderate voters. Fakes news and all that.

*coughbrexitcough*

I wouldnt put that down to white power at all. Brexit is an example of letting uneducated people dictate the future of their country without knowing the consequences. Many believed overflowing a country with immigration had a negative impact on the economy  (which is proven to be quite the opposite) but i wouldn't go as far as labelling those people as racists.

Besides my original point i was discussing was solely to do with people of colour still bringing up slavery which i dont believe needs to be still spoken off today, atleast not where im from

Brexit just turned into a referendum on immigration and I would imagine in a lot of Western Nations attitudes around immigration/migration have soured.

All it takes is a good message and you can expose the fear.
