SLAM!
My predictions: Amy Adams, Cheney Cynthia Erivo, Widows Nicole Kidman, Boy Erased Regina King, If Beale Street Could Talk Margot Robbie, Mary, Queen of Scots Edited April 27, 2018 by slambros
Eric Duncan
https://deadline.com/2018/09/oscars-after-telluride-no-first-round-knockouts-in-the-race-but-nothing-completely-knocked-out-either-1202456385/ Quote The period costume drama, The Favourite, came in with praise from Venice, and was generally well-received in the Rockies too although there were some detractors. Emma Stone is in contention for Lead Actress but if the studio also campaigns the equally fine Rachel Weisz there (instead of supporting) then it could be trouble. Olivia Colman, a hoot as the Queen, is a sure bet in support although the studio still hasn’t ruled out pushing her into lead, a shakier prospect considering the competition, both seen and unseen, building in that category. SLAM!
I think they should campaign Olivia Coleman for Supporting. It would be much easier for her to stand out in that competition than in the lead actress one, which is hotly contested. On another note, I think Michelle Yeoh got a boost from the success of Crazy Rich Asians for sure.
Ezen Baklattan
Regina King got HUGE applause in both screenings of Beale Street. I could easily see her winning unlesss something coming up really surprises. She’s absolutely fantastic in it.

Blankments
hard to say now, but if Widows is loved by the Academy (aka gets a BP nom) there's no way Debecki misses here. She's got the most showy role in the movie and she kills it
