Still excited for this.
Avatree
The trailer sells it as a comedy so don't see the problem. The first film was very light and fun anyway.
Krissykins
Yeh I don’t want it to lose its horror connection completely though. The BloodyDisgusting review said it has though. Shame. We’ll see.

Blaze Heatnix
It seems that a post credit scene might give a hint to a third movie... https://bloody-disgusting.com/movie/3545961/happy-death-day-2u-end-credit-sequence-will-tease-really-bonkers-third-film-may-getting/
SnokesLegs
I lot of the negative skewing reviews seem to be criticising it for the lack of “horror” as if the original was some classic slasher movie...I would barely call the original a horror to be honest, it was more of a mystery comedy thriller. At no point was “Baby Face” scary, so I’m actually glad it seems to be leaning more into the comedy and sci-fi route.

ViewerAnon
There's basically no horror in it - Babyface disappears for huge stretches. The movie just isn't about that. It's great, though. Witty, weird, charming, sweet. Edited February 12, 2019 by ViewerAnon

I doubt Blumhouse makes a third unless this matches the first at the box office.
ViewerAnon
The mid-credits scene was originally the actual ending of the film.

This movie will at worst do 110m WW. on a 9m budget. why'd it not have another sequel? they will need to shake it up and make it look like its been years after the second one, tree living a different happy life after college etc Edited February 13, 2019 by TombRaider
