narniadis
I never looked at Mondays box office but that puts these Tuesday holds into perspective. Wonder what caused the monday box office to be inflated??
dxmatrixdt
it seems Rampage only did about 1/3 greater than Ghost in the Shell for Thursday previews, and 10% greater than Tomb Raider, but then Rampage really took off after that. AQP was #1 on Monday, but Rampage came up on Tuesday. it should be up above 70 by the time Ultron opens are fThursday

Avatree
watched rampage again... absolute snooze of a movie. I mildly enjoyed it the first time but would have to say now that it is a bad movie. VG curse has yet to be lifted.
Celedhring
Monday holds weren't particularly out of order - most stuff in the top 10 decreased 70-75%. But these Tuesday increases are pretty weak in most cases. Strange.

But these Tuesday increases are pretty weak in most cases. Strange. It's because the difference between for example a 72% Monday drop and a 75% Monday drop is bigger than it may seem at first glance. A 72% Monday drop leads to a Monday number 12% bigger than a 75% Monday drop would. In other words, a 75% Monday drop followed by a 32% Tuesday increase leads to the same Tuesday number as a 72% Monday drop followed by an 18% Tuesday increase. A Monday drop just a few percentage points smaller is already enough to cause a pretty big difference in the Tuesday bumps.
