can this do 50m for long holiday weekend?

I think it is very very likely. It is possible NYC will finally allow 50% cap by Memorial Weekend. And USA' covid cases has recently come down again despite easing of restriction, suggest that massive vaccination have started working. Based on the current trajectory, at least half of the population should have partial protection by then , so the fear factor should be even lower.

There should be more than 3500+ theaters in marketplace. The only problem is Canada is unlikely to back online. That could cost 10% of the total gross

The Duality of BOT is out in full force. 👍

We haven’t had a movie underperform on OW since March 5. MDW weekend is gonna be national we-beat-covid-and-everyone’s-got-their-final-shot party time.

Spoiler

Disclaimer: not everyone, but everyone who urgently wanted one — which is to say, everyone whose inclination to visit a theater would be dampened by not having one yet

I saw a trailer for it when I saw GvK

Good, because they need to start reminding people this is coming to May 28 because all the previous marketing effort have mostly go down in drain. Releasing the trailers in front of box office giant certainly will help and we don't have much of these kind of blockbuster in the next few weeks.

The movie was only 1 hour 40m, yet they have to release another trailer simply because all the buzz hyped by previous 2 were gone down in drain......I heard Paramount had spent 60% of the marketing budget prior its postponement.

I swear that Patrick Kirkpatrick (sp?) blurb for every movie is "Well worth the wait".

I love the first movie and am a sucker for apocalyptic genre so I'm seeing this for sure. Looks good. I'm happy that they are continuing the story.

So where are the reviews? Since blurbs are attached?

I like how they emphasis "In theater". But the buzz is remain low so far and not sure how paramount can restart its buzz all over again. Also, as a major studio like paramount, the studio has been very low profile throughout this season, how can they survived this quiet place for so long?

Luckily they haven't the lifted the embargo that time. If not, they will waste another source of buzz. There was some early reaction claiming the sequel is very good and worth the sequel development. They should re-post all these.
