MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Halloween over 80 million OW club (We didn't quite get there but it sure was close!)

Recommended Posts

yeah even if this does "only $60-65 mil" for OW, that is a massive success.

But I'm going down with the ship with @Dr Loomis baumer on this one.  So bring on $80.1 mil!!!

I'm not interested in kudos for being close.  I think this will do more than 80 million and the reason I chose that number initially was because it would then be the highest opening weekend adjusted for any horror movie outside of IT.

I can feel the 80.  It's happening.

You've got about 12 hours to get on board.  I'll close this club at 7pm EST.

Looks like Boxoffice.com joined the club with $80m on their weekend forecast

Right now I’m at 85M, and sales tonight could convince me to go higher. Happy Halloween.

Those holds seem to be too good to be in the same weekend as an 80M opener.

Eeeek I want to but just can’t.

If Halloween does $80m it’ll be one of the most astounding, crazy box office stories for the genre ever.

If it's going to break the record, it's not going to be some lame-o deal where it beats it by less than 1 million.

If it goes big, it's going to go really big, over 90 or 100.

That said, 60 or 65 would still be a fantastic opening weekend for this movie.

I'm going to stick with my initial 60-70M like the stubborn fool I am. That being said, I'd be extremely content with this achieving 80M+. For JLC and the "slasher" puns.

Prediction 50 million.

Tops: 120 Million.

Audiences will be fooled by the hype only to figure out it is the same old slasher shit that they shove down their throats and then they abandon the movie.

Oh and it loses audiences cause Jamie Lee Curtis couldn't keep her old hag mouth shut about guns. And we all know what happens to actors spewinng out politics before their movie premiers.
