SLAM!
This is a very exciting project and I'm really excited that Amandla Stenberg is involved in a film such as this! I'm definitely rooting for this film's success.

filmlover
Is this that movie where they fired that troubled YouTube guy?

Shame, because they had already filmed it and given it a June 29th release date. Maybe they should've called Christopher Plummer... Yeah, Kian Lawley, a YT vlogger, got fired after a video of him using racial slurs was found. He was replaced with KJ Apa, the star of Riverdale. WrathOfHan
I think this will perform like Love, Simon. Like that movie, older appeal will be limited (especially with all the Oscar contenders releasing around it), and it’s not going to play well in rural/conservative areas. Plus, teens that can see R rated movies will have Venom and Halloween. The only way I see this breaking out is if there’s awards potential. This isn't really relevant, but it is very unlikely that Venom will get an R rating. Especially with comments that Tom Hardy made at CinemaCon. Most of the main October movies have released trailers this month so it make sense.

WrathOfHan
Well, that was a pretty big tonal shift. This isn’t going to make much for the same reason as Detroit.

MovieGuyKyle17
Damn. I hope the film has a longer scene of the shooting because from what the trailer shows, it will be hard for me to be sympathetic about his death.
