142mil 3-day 170 4-day seems not to bad.

And with 3 weeks to itself (I'm not really counting Oceans 8 as direct competition) it could definitely at least come close to 400 with an opening like that

Counterprogramning isn’t bad for Overboard. Once you consider a comedy with Anna Faris(non Scary Movie) looking to do reasonable that’s not bad.

To me Bad Samaritan looked like complete shit. And Tully well it will find an audience somehow.

On the Bottom Line, I hope Avengers beats The Force Awakens 2nd weekend récord.

Apologies for opening this up again, but look at Avengers "trilogy" (thus far) as box office for Star Wars to follow. TFA was 2012's Avengers, Last Jedi was Age of Ultron.

That means episode 9 will be the Infinity War of the series  :ohmygod:

Too soon to call whether Disney/Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War will post the second best weekend ever for a domestic release after Force Awakens ($149.2M). The Anthony and Joe Russo-directed movie will pull in $27M-$30M today (-73% from last Friday because it was padded with previews) for a three-day between $106M-$115M at 4,474 theaters. At the high end, that’s -55% from the best opening of all-time and should that pace maintain, Infinity War will cross $400M tomorrow in 9 days, the second fastest ever to that point after Star Wars: The Force Awakens which completed the B.O. feat in eight days. By Sunday, a total between $444M-$453M. Black Panther owns the second best second weekend ever at the domestic B.O. with $111.7M. That movie has another $10M to go to get to $700M if Disney can keep the movie in theaters. Nonetheless, another brilliant weekend at the domestic box office. As Nancy already reported, Infinity War is the fastest title ever to $1 billion.

Lionsgate/Pantelion/MGM’s Overboard will take second place with $4.3M-$4.5M today and $13.5M for the weekend at 1,623 venues.

Paramount’s mighty A Quiet Place is looking at $7.5M-$8.5M in weekend 5 for a running total by Sunday at the high end of $160.8M.

STXfilms I Feel Pretty is still pulling in women with a third weekend of $4.9M in fourth-40% for a running total by Sunday of $37.8M.

Focus Features’ Tully could take fifty with $1.3M-$1.5M today and $4M-$4.2M at 1,300 locations.

Dean Devlin’s self-distributed Bad Samaritan isn’t so hot with an estimated $750K today and possible $2M for the weekend.
