GTAV was $800m on the first day and a billion after 3 days, Endgame technically will make a billion the end of the day Saturday or early tomorrow, the 4th or 5th day.  But yeah, video game tails are apparently much thinner than movies so GTA probably took a lot longer to hit 1.2b

I think End Game will not only break almost every OW record, it's going to break a lot of 2nd week records too. I expect great numbers next week as well.....then we run into a Pikachu. No preview in UK for it. I was surprised.

Video games have worse legs than movies initially as fans rush to buy early. But they keep selling for so long (and in the case of GTA V, an upgraded version was subsequently released for the new generaton of consoles) so their tails are much longer in the long run. GTA V is well over $2 billion now for example.
