In 52-53M range.

This Friday, should do 20M+. China is doing 4M+. Overall should be over 24M.

OK, I found it

Last week Friday: DOM = 40.6M, China = 35.81M ( china had holiday) , OS- China = 52.39M

This week, we have China = 4.15M, assume DOM = 16M, Assume OS-China will drop 60%, then:

20,96+16+4,15 >40M

It will be nice once we get past Memorial Day. Enough of these ridiculous it's not gonna pass avatar comments.

At that point it will either already be at 2.79b or barely behind it with the late legs left. IW made $110 WW after that with nothing like Spiderman 2 directly linked to it (post credit scene and directly continuation of aftermath).

Yeah. For DOM, I'd say 17-18M. Harsh Thu drop will be somewhat corrected by large Friday jump.

What are the updated % for under/over avatar?

seemed like 10/90 a week ago but it's looking tighter by the day!

I still have End game over Avatar WW, but now looked like have to wait longer than expected. It will crawl past Avatar WW by next month based on current trend .

Domestic estimates for Friday came in at 16m

(1) Avengers: Endgame Walt Disney $16,060,000 +114% 4,662 $3,445   $676,505,739 15

Damn! Now domestic looking to finish with 850-855M.

China will wrap up with 630M or so.

So OS-C needs to do 1310M to beat Avatar. For that, OS-C Friday needs to be over 20M.

yppzgkxnfix21.pngMany of them don't have this whole week update yet.

Paraguay is 925k, not 925M.

I still think Disney will release AEG on Labor day weekend domestically as it has for many other CBMs in the past and give it an extra 10+ million push.

Why wouldn't they? Fox even did it with Avatar.

Avatar "Special Edition" was released Labor Day and grossed another 10.7 million.

It's money left on that table if they don't!

Only for fans as it's out on digital late August.

Of course it's for the fans.

Avatar was out for months on home video (was released in May 2010) before it's August 2010 re-release and it still made 10 million.

EG isn't even on DVD before labour day. In fact, a relaunch weekend would also help advertise a bit for the DVD release as ads would refresh people's memories.

I think they'd be smart to do it, with an emphasis on IMAX and Dolby.
