Of course it's for the fans.

Avatar was out for months on home video (was released in May 2010) before it's August 2010 re-release and it still made 10 million.

EG isn't even on DVD before labour day. In fact, a relaunch weekend would also help advertise a bit for the DVD release as ads would refresh people's memories.

I think they'd be smart to do it, with an emphasis on IMAX and Dolby.

You never know. That was height of 3D mania when it was must see on Imax etc bcos there was no way to see it on 3D on home. 3D tv craze started after that in 2011.

Anyone know the total gross of IW in Nigeria? I could not find it . Thank you

Nigeria  BO (can often be listed as West Africa) is BO from several countries of which Nigeria is  by far the lion share (Ghana is one of the others) IW about us1.3m, also AEG is over 1m now . That figure you have would be roughly the 1st weekend(Nigeria, Ghana, Liberia)

OS looks like $105mn Weekend (FSS $100mn Approx OS-C 82)

Pushing Avatar ETA to end of Week 7 i.e. 13th June.

That's a pretty good weekend.

OS preformed a little better than expected, makes up for the slight DOM under performance.

Approx 170 million WW 3rd weekend is pretty damn good!

@Charlie Jatinder, why has it pushed to June 13th now?

That's 4 more weeks needed to make 300 million, when it just made about 230-240 million WW in the last 7 day period.

I know it's still falling fairly hard in some places, but there is a holiday weekend coming up in DOM and some OS countries are now holding quite nicely (i.e. Brazil, China higher than expected, South Korea, etc)

I mean, I really don't care when it takes over #1 as long as it gets there, but 4 more weeks seems a little off when it's still making such a high total sum WW. Am I missing something?

Thanks!

That's a sweet document. First I've seen of it so it certainly helps put things in perspective.

I think there is a typo in this weekends DOM though.

It's got 16.2 + 27.5 + 20 adding up to only 43.7 million.

Dom week 3 should be in the 100m range rather than 84, which puts Avatar eta back a couple weeks right?

His DOM range of 84 for week 3 looks correct, it's only the spreadsheet where the DOM weekend 3 is off at 43.7 million.
Thailand and Italy are off for the weekend as well on the spread sheet, so about 25 million more than the 117 WW weekend gross listed.

I don't know hows that possible. Its doing 64mn in weekend, I don't see it doing 36mn in weekdays.

I think he was just getting confused because the spreadsheet lists 43.7 million for the weekend missing the 20 million Sunday, however you 84 million figure here accounts for that 20 million.
