My guess is this weekend will be around 32.5M and the weekday tallies will be around 18-18.5M. And it should cross 600M by this weekend or Monday.

A Quiet Place has had some tremendous legs the last couple weeks. Topping $200M is probably out of the cards, but it still has a shot at $195M to be Paramount's bigger domestic grosser since 2014.

Damn didn’t even realize their last hit was Rogue Nation

Why is Disney releasing the BP DVD so early? They could have waited for at least one more month.

As the release date was announced (and before an announcing there have to the planning, discuss the production,.... needs also a bit of time) they probably didn't count on BPs rather unique (especially for an ~ introducing a character / 1st movie of it's series) run.

But I think generally speaking 3 months between cinema release and DVD/... release date is not o.K. anyway, I think 6 months or more should be the minimum

6 months to a year used to be the norm, but  with VOD, piracy, and just trying to stay fresh/relevant with an audience, 3-4 months  probably just makes better sense.

BP will grind out another $3-4 mil in the next month but will probably make $70-100m in that same time frame from home video sales.  No brainer on Disney’s part.

Women centric films have showed better use of Disc Tuesdays and I feel mother's having their share of movies on Sunday might lead to a more tepid Tue for movies than expected.

They can get the movie onto TV quicker by releasing the DVD early. They’ve been doing it since Alice in Wonderland. BP should hit TV around August.

but not good for cinema owners and so on. I think for the whole of the business there should be a minimum of more than nowadays is usus
