And Meryl Streep??? NEVER. She is far too much of a respected actress to be in something as LOW as a superhero film or a YA novel adaptation (**Cough The Giver cough**).

Don't forget iconic actors like Sir Anthony Hopkins and Robert Redford who accepted jobs in the Marvel Universe.

That whole Marvel thing has become a tired act for me. I was a big fan for many years but with the (over the top) "Black Panther" hype and "Captain Marvel" it somehow ended. This Captain movie will make a billion for being just...mediocre. It seems the GA does not care about quality anymore...they would also rush out to see a pile of shit in front of their doors that Marvel made. 

 

If Angelina really joins - who is left? Kate Winslet? Meryl Streep? Will they be next?

The ultimate sign of the level of success of the MCU: It has become cool for wannbe edgy hipsters to bad mouth it.

I would be surprised, if Jolie is signed, if it's for anybody but Sersi. Just visually she is so perfect for it.

And the wisecracks about her age are petty nonsense. I hoped this idea that a women over 40 could  not be as sexy as hell went out with Michelle Pffeifer, but apparently not.

If RDJ can be Iron Man in his early forties up to his mid fifties and Paul Rudd can be Ant-Man in his mid to late forties, Angelina can definitely be Sersi at 43. I hate double standards...

I hope they find a way to do the bit where Herk is hired to play Hercules in a Hollywood movie. That was one of the best running jokes Marvel had in the Silver age.And they milked the hell out of it.

That is BS (and you know it). 

First, we don't know any immortal, so there is no way of assessing at what age their immortality was "locked." If someone is born an immortal, who is to say that at a certain age they will stop aging? For all we know, a hypothetical immortal will continue aging for the rest of their immortal life and will eventually look like whatever a 500 year old person would look like.

That age range you mentioned is based on BS social constructs that we all adhere to in regard to what is supposed to be attractive and desirable.

So yeah, Angelina looks amazing (for any age) and she can definitely be Sersi.

Either way he's not openly gay, so it wouldn't be fair to the thousands of openly gay actors who've not had the opportunity to star in big budget vehicles like this. Also wasn't Cavill in a lot of hot water a few years back for dating a 19 year old school girl?
