My guess is NO. BOT being wrong once again - what else is new?

Do you really believe that or just trying to be annoying?

If you hate BOT how about you get out, it would do a lot of us a favor.

A quibble but someone should really tell Box Office Mojo that Disney "Retired" the name Buena Vista for it's main theatrical  releasing organization over 10 years ago. It is now Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures,Inc.

There are rumors Disney might revive the name to release R and "Hard" PG films  it wants, for branding purposes, to keep separate from the Disney label. Disney apparently wants to get into the lucrative Horror and hard core action film market, but does not want the Disney label on the films.

OMG its over :apocalypse:

You truly do have a lot in common with Grace Randolph. One thing being the lack of knowledge about box office. How's the $640-650M dom final bet going?:kitschjob:

More studio fare like BOOK CLUB, please. Gonna pull well over a 5x and fill single screens well after the megablockbusters have hemorrhaged interest. The midrange success is crucial to the future of exhibitors.

In news practically nobody cares about, Chappaquiddick finally hit a 3.00 (unrounded) multiplier on Wednesday. It's only the second April film to reach the 3.00 mark with A Quiet Place being the other (which sits at a hefty 3.61). I Feel Pretty will become the third April film with a 3.00 multiplier, joining the group on Friday, probably.

Barring an unexpected ~10% increase on Thursday, Book Club will also reach a 3.00 multiplier on Friday, its 15th day. I Can Only Imagine needed 16 days to achieve a 3.00 multiplier. So BC's chances of dethroning ICOI for the best legs of the year are still very strong. The slight theater expansion this weekend certainly helps.

Won't You Be My Neighbor? is opening in 29 theaters next weekend. I can see it hitting 1,500-2,000 theaters at the end of June if the PTAs are strong.

you do know that only a dozen docs ever reached over 1500 theaters and six of them are about animals, four are concerts, and the other two are Obama's America and Fahrenheit 9/11. why the hell would a biographical doc have that kind of release.

With Book Club it's almost as if they're discovering that every now and then your (grand)mother likes to go to the movies

I think a lot of people want a choice of the types of movies they can go they, instead of a steady diet of big budgets action oriented blockblusters....

Because it's Mr. goddamn Rogers, that's why.
