BHTilt has the horror comedy Upgrade in 1,400 venues and it’s expected to collapse with around $3M. Goalpost Pictures and Automatik Entertainment also produced the title. Leigh Whannell wrote and directed this pic which won the Audience Award for midnight screenings at SXSW. Guys 17-40 are the sweet spot, particularly those with primary interests in sci-fi and action genre cinema, and who also might be gamers.

I don't like her movies all that much but I just thought she had a diverse audience.

Looks like Variety was also smoking whatever THR was coz they too though Solo would do between 50-60m. 

 

They also think Deadpool will drop only 31-42% this weekend and make between 25-30.

Upgrade 100% feels like one of those '80s genre hybrids that would play to mostly empty theaters for a couple of weeks but then become cult classics on VHS. Just substitute the latter for streaming.
