I get vilified for saying this but I would rather a blizzard and -20 degrees than this kind of unbearable heat.  Unless I was able to be poolside all day with a Corona.  :)

A 36% Friday jump for Incredibles 2. Given  its somewhat stronger Saturday jump last weekend compared to Dory and Toy Story 3’s respective weekends, I’m anticipating a solid Saturday jump for Incredibles 2. (I also wonder if the different calendar alignment this year, with Friday being only being June 29, instead of July 1 and 2 for Dory and Toy Story 3 respectively, makes a difference. Canada Day is July 1st and most schools in Canada run until end of June, though can’t remember specific end dates in past years. Not sure, just thinking out loud.)

Peace,

Mike

All schools in Canada (high school, not post secondary) run until the last week of June every year.  I know his because my teacher friends are ready to pull their hair out every year during the last two weeks of June.  :sparta:

I don't understand why they have a 59 million weekend off a 17.4 Friday.  I get 62-63 million.  JW should jump by about 50% today.  It's not going under 60.

Maybe accounting for reduced matinees Sat and Sun due to football

43 degrees is freezing

You americans need to get on with modern times and the world and switch to metric 😜

Actual high for today is about 35C which is about 95C but its the high humidity which causes the heat index to rise as high as 44C

It's about 120 F.

43-44 degree celcius is close to 110 degree fahrenheit. 120 would be close to 50C.

Me too. I’d rather be cold then be sweaty and sticky in the heat.

Yes, many family films or films with a lot of interest from all different age groups rise that much on a Saturday.  I realize that JW's second saturday was only a 35% increase, but the third weekend it went up over 50%.  So I don't think 50% is out of line at all.

For real. Even when it’s freezing, there’s something satisfying about bundling under blankets. Heat offers none of that.

I don';t see any reason why it shouldn't hit 125.  It's going to be over 110 this weekend.  I'd say 125 is locked.

Well, we were told that with the humidity today it'll feel like 120.  All I know is its fucking hot and sticky.

After the longest and worst week ever, we’re finally off to see Won’t You Be My Neighbor? I convinced four other people to go a documentary on Saturday at the shitty little theater, so fingers cross this lives up to the hype.  One of my friends was telling me how her friend went to a show in LA, and David Harbour sat behind her and cried the whole time. 😂
