The First Purge’s debut isn’t bad considering that’s a Tuesday not Thursday

not bad increases yesterday, I was the $11 million that saw Jurassic World. I liked it for what it was

It's pre-holiday though, so doesn't look too great.

Well, I admit I was wrong about the Tuesday increases. Lol. Fantastic all around except for those that lost showntimes to Purge 4.

But as expected, inflated numbers cause the crazy expectations to come back. Thursday will be so much fun....

JW2 is definitely not as bad as those 4 transformers( I say four bc I liked the first one), and it’s critical rating although mixed is much higher than Transformers 2-5.

Agree on Transformers One.

Really like the parts on the island in JW2. It's when they got to the mansion everything fell off the cliff.

I wonder what the next animated film to cross $500M will be? My bet is Shrek 5.

The Lion King and Avatar 2 will do it first.  Those are animated right?

I don’t know what to count The Lion King as.

Well, if critics & audiences find Shrek 5 as good as the first 2 films, and if it’s heavily marketed+nostalgia & probably the fan-oriented Shrek-fame it has garnered....then maybe. It depends on when it comes out and what the story will be about. I pretty much think what DW need to do: is aging up the baby ogre-triplets. Cause there are potential voices they can bring to them.

Wow Hereditary is already at over $40M? To think people compared it to mother! when it's on course to potentially outgross Red Sparrow. JLaw is true box office poison.

I did not knew about that motion capture disqualify you but that make sense, not having to animate the character is a huge difference.

I can't see it personally just because the sequels took away any good will or nostalgia unlike something like The Incredibles 2. Maybe a live action Shrek movie similar to what they did Beauty and the Beast or The Jungle Book could be big if done right but a fourth sequel? I'm not so sure.
