poweranimals
I really don't understand these numbers for AMATW. The movie seems pretty well liked overall but the drops have been ridiculous.
baumer
I don't want to be that guy and start piling on the Ant-Man numbers but holy freaking crap that is a monstrous drop. I don't care how much it increased on Tuesday that's just a very very strange massive drop.

TwoMisfits
I thought before it opened, Ant-Man might get a pass from a lot of AIW fans if it didn't feel necessary to watch for Avengers 4...since it has opened, I wouldn't say it has bad WOM, but it just may have the wrong WOM...if people said "this isn't good, but you still HAFTA see it, so you'll be ready for Avengers 4," that might've been better than "this is really pretty good, but you don't NEED to see it since it doesn't really have much related to Avengers 4"... It's still very early, but in the summer still unfolding and better big openers coming than last year, you can't wait too long to kick in some legs...ask Solo:)... MCKillswitch123
Woof. I expected a big drop after that abnormal Tuesday bump, but that is monstrously bad. I guess people just flat out don't want to pay full price for this I haven't seen it yet, but I have the impression that this movie is hardly something that you need to watch before Avengers 4, and I think that, coming off Infinity War, the fact that wom never really highlighted that to begin with, when you know that is the biggest point of interest for every Marvel movie going on forward at the moment, was a big mistake, me reckons. I'm not saying this is the reason, but being disposable is never really a great idea when you know audiences can only go to so many movies in a single year, + they already had Incredibles and JW very recently. We'll see how the legs unfold in the next few weeks, but.... ouch at that Wednesday drop. Edited July 12, 2018 by MCKillswitch123

I'm guessing that it's in a similar boat as Solo: people like it well enough, but it's just such an inconsequential movie that it's not really making people want to see it again, or swaying new viewers.
