terrible numbers with lack of precision either way

yup, always off by 10-20%

The derby average has better precision with Wednesday data than they do with partial Friday data.

the holdovers are too far off to take seriously.

We at least get a ballpark on the new releases

MM2  16m

E2       13m

Please.  I would be shocked if they weren't at least 15% higher

If the numbers of MI6 are meh, they should consider to stop doing these movies. If such an amazing action movie with such glowing reviews cannot break out or surpass the previous entry, that means the ceiling is there and won’t be broken.

And to think that a movie about an Antman will probably outgross this..

It's currently the biggest franchise Paramount has after Transformers finally hit the wall - they're not going to stop making them unless they become unprofitable.

Dumbest post I've seen in a while. Why would they stop making movies when their franchise seems to be consistently making 650m plus off a 150m budget? These are good hits

I only meant that it’s a pitty that they don’t make more money and that audiences should know and choose quality entertainment such as this.

At the end of the day is a 6th film in a franchise and the marketing doesn't suggest any significant changes from the past couple of films. If someone wasn't interested in watching the previous couple of Mission Impossible films (even though they're really good IMO) then they won't be convinced to watch this one.

Lol The Rock has posted another video

He said “sorry Mamma Mia and Equalizer, there could only be one winner last weekend, I had to knock you both down”.

:wintf:

Then he admitted Skyscraper got “knocked out” on its opening weekend.

:winomg:

Your film opened in China last weekend and you’re comparing it to two domestic openers.

Also: I’m going to see Skyscraper tonight, lol. Just for Neve Campbell.

Disney current run  (and specially MCU) has made people think every sequel increases.

Fallout is increasing (though not a lot) thanks to great reviews (and RN/GO reception). That's a win itself.

The fact that the franchise is not collapsing is good enough (though not the best case scenario)

what should sell more tickets on Saturday, Hotel 3 or Teen Titans?

HT3 would be looking at a 46% Sat-to-Sat decline to get to 5 million.

Still playing at over 4,000 locations

Teen Titans playing in 3,188 locations gunning for 5 million too.

HT3 dailies so far....  should be close.

If Fallout surpasses RN, that is a win. People should know what to expect from this series by now. When I saw people predicting $75 million OW, I was confused. My prediction was $45 million, so if it goes over RN that is a success. This franchise is very old and, let’s face it, Tom Cruise is very controversial. Especially in the YouTube age where people can watch interviews from 2005 like it was yesterday.

$60M+ opening is a win and $200M+ domestic total would surpass my expectations.

TTG definitely selling early matinees WAY better today than yesterday...it could be a movie that mom won't take kids to without dad...I'd expect Friday to be lower than projected yesterday, and Saturday and Sunday to go much higher...weirdly, it might sell like a fall/spring animated movie, not a summer one...

So you answer your own questions?

or edit them*, depending on how the screen reads up and down ⛈️

you run the risk of hearing your own voice a lot instead of activating someone else's version, but

you are looking for an answer and if you have to hit yourself up for the answer, next in line of anticipated thoughts,  then so be it.
