The Lion Roars: King over 200 mil OW Club

Recommended Posts

That’s right.

200 mil OW club for The Lion King

Reasons:

A beloved classic watched by the last couple generations

The Lion Guard is a popular cartoon on Disney Channel

The first did over 300 mil in its first run, then did 90 mil in its 3D run, by far the biggest 3D re issue

The music is loved by many

The special effects should be spectacular

Has a great release to its self in July

The first teaser with “The Circle of Life” should make huge waves

So, who is in?

I wonder when we'll see a teaser...but this is a very easy IN.

Also when does the Lion Guard come back.

In. I think it will have a very similar run to Black Panther, if not even better.

I believe I'm the 1st person on record to call 200M OW for TLK in this forum back when the movie was announced. That still hasn't changed. IN.

If incredibles 2 can do 180 then should easily do 200. Maybe you should increase the number to 225-230 to make it a little bit more interesting or 250 if you’re feeling bold

I am in.

Beauty and the Beast did 175M, by next year that already would be 185M and TLK should top that. Though there is also the chance it just does JB numbers.

Out. Should have contained original plot (if happened) unlike the original animated counterpart instead of simply remaking the movie with same heck of a villain (Scar), I see this performing below expectations.

$160m
