BatB 233M C+J+SK, I think TLK will be bit lower. Rest of OS markets I think will beat BatB by a decent margin though. Call it about 750-950M.

Pound is really suffering right now and keeps dropping amid Brexit uncertainty. Some forecasters are predicting dollar parity so the future isn’t looking great at all for $ grosses in UK.

$100m now requires a huge £80m which only a few films have ever topped...

Few months ago ,some people were expecting this to be the one to break avatar record not EG .

Now it seems that it won't reach 60% of avatar number

.6A is a lot

And nobody seriously thought this would be within 500M of Avatar

I believed it could. I said all along it needed high WOM to get there but after what Favreau did with TJB and given the history of the Lion King, I was hopeful.

Hehe, maybe “few people” would have been more accurate. 2.3B is sooooo much with 2019 ERs though. For all practical purposes Avatar+Endgame are on the astral plane and real movies only gross 1.5-2.2 when having a crazy stars-aligning mega-breakout 😛

I posted that in the German Thread already:

TLK OD is 208k for the second bigges OD of the year!!! (some comps below) It had the advantage of holidays and the big disadvantage of good weather...

Some other ODs:

AEG 460k

AIW 225k

TLK 208k

CM 125k

And other Disney remakes:

TLK 208k

BATB 100k

Aladdin 30k

TJB 30k

Dumbo 18,5k

It's huge!

Opening was above what the Spidey-comp suggested:

Comps to other movies:

Aladdin would have suggested 380k (without previews)

Don't have much data, sorry.

Also I won't use that BatB comp as that was a Thursday and it had an IM of 8.5x. TLK most likely won't reach that over the course of it 5-day OWend.

It had pretty impressive midnight showings: 588 sold at Cinestar Bremen while TLK had no showings there and Endgame had 728 tickets at the Metropolis in Frankfurt, TLK had no showings there, Endgame had ≈500-600 at the cinemaxx in Bremen, TLK had 38.

The evening previews for Aladdin were at 76, 70 and 130 twenty hours before start of previews and Aladdin had 23.3k in evening previews.

This decade I think Endgame probably had the second highest midnight numbers only behind TFA (around 120-125k while I expect around 100k for Endgame) which is probably right around the number for TLJ/ a little above that.

Which overall points higher than I expected as 208k on OD should be around $2-2.2m and would point towards the 5-day Wend above 1000k ($10m).
