It should rise on Saturday and Sunday but in Chile it also landed sixth... it has  few showtimes though.

It is a very bad idea to release a family movie right after winter's holidays here in Latin America, people have already spent money watching Hotel Transylvania 3, Incredibles 2 and Jurassic World.

That's true salvador, I'm from Uruguay, and cinemas the month after winter holidays are dead, hope it rise in the weekend, because family movies like CR never do huge business on thursday

Christopher Robin ventured into its first international markets day-and-date with North America and grossed $5m. Mexico took the lead on $1.4m over four days, while Russia generated $1.2m, Hong Kong $500,000, Philippines $300,000, and Taiwan, Singapore and Colombia each on $200,000.

Wow

Maybe not even 100M OS....

None of it's marquee markets (UK, Aus, Japan etc) have opened yet and won't open till September. Remains to be seen how well it will do in those countries but it's a bit soon to completely write it off.

Christopher Robin bowed in the key UK market this weekend, taking $3.2M including previews and expected to be No. 1 for the frame. In total, the session was worth $7.9M in 34 material markets, lifting the offshore cume to $22.8M in what’s been a staggered release. The global total is $89.7M so far.

Germany was also a new hub with $900K including previews and Brazil bowed with $400K. Mexico is leading all play so far with $4.1M to date (-8% in the session), followed by Russia ($3.5M), the UK ($3.2M), Hong Kong ($1.1M) and Venezuela ($900K).

Christopher, Pooh, Piglet and the other Hundred Acre Wood denizens have major market openings ahead throughout August, September and October. They will not, however, be going to China.

Domestic:  $87,609,495    65.0%
Foreign:  $47,178,435    35.0%

Worldwide:  $134,787,930

Int'l went up $1.278m from the estimated $45,900,000 for a near $6m O/S weekend.   O/S should hit at least $60m from existing markets - maybe more considering the legs in the UK.

Japan, France, SK, Aus, NZ, Spain, Sweden and some smaller markets still on deck.
