This looked like one of those projects that could’ve easily ended up like 9% lol.

So, show compassion and selflessness. When Lopez gets the nom, don't just get lost in celebration but pray for Beyonce's sanity.

She was actually super smart by doing this. She might. She and Dern have the reviews. Granny's going to be a non-factor like Yalitza. Dunno about Ingenue Line Up (Pugh, Robbie) whether they are just nom is the award or actual contenders.

If this has a good box office run and JLo gets serious Oscar consideration, it'll be one of the top film stories of the year! I have to say I'm actually looking forward to seeing it this weekend.

Sorry, should have specified it's for Bombshell.

 

But anyway, Lopez has the momentum, undeniable reviews and soon the boxoffice. All she needs to do is campaign and campaign she will. So lets stan her into nominations and then wins. One step at the time folks. Always keep an eye on competition. Dern is strong and due. She has reviews, and she has a show-stopper scene that gets ovations every time. And her movie will be in BP line up but given that some projected favorites are bombing, Hustlers could sneak in Hidden Figures style. So stay tuned. Right now, it looks like Dern vs Lopez for the win which is a very good position for Lopez. It's projected also-runs who miss out, not projected winner and challenger.

My only concern is that STX can’t run or don’t have the funds to pull off a proper awards campaign for her.

Number of lines doesn't equate to better performance. Robbie has one of the most powerful performances of the year and saying she doesn't deserve a nom because she doesn't have a lot of lines is dumb. Would be surprised if JLo in any single scene in Hustlers is as good as Robbie was in the cinema scene.
