literally her first fresh movie since Antz/Out of Sight in '98.

 

but i've always thought she had potential, so i'm happy this worked out. but i always had faith this was a good project i like the director, the meddler was one of the most underrated movies of whatever year that came out in.

I don't think I've ever seen Jennifer Lopez in anything, ever. I didn't think she had been in many films thought she is mainly a music star?

 

 

edit: apparently she is one of the voices in Ice Age 5 which I have had the misfortune of watching.

Also she has done a ton of movies, huh. But i guess I still haven't seen her. i mean if she was in a movie i wouldn't know its her until the credits told me.

This is Jennifer Aniston all over again. JLo may pick up some precursors (Globes being the most obvious and SAG is now 1/2 DJs anyway) but she'll be stopped at the Oscars and BAFTA won't touch her and her movie with a pole. I'm sure she's great but there are obstacles and Actress field is stacked with respectable contenders in roles that have "more substance" (from voters POV).

she actually started in movies and then transitioned to becoming a music star. 90% of the time that doesn't work. her and jeremy renner are the only successful examples i can think of.
