Funny, considering the original was actually released on DVD very briefly the year before, taken very hastily off shelves.

It was scary and unnerving and it had a bad ending. But for a shark movie it did it's job really well.

Eh. Liked the first. Preferred it over the Blake Lively shark flick. At least it didn't have some false sense of worth tacked on.

BOM lists this as releasing in 3600+ theatres. Typo or what?

 

Either way I'm there! I like the concept of the characters exploring ancient ruins but having said ruins infested with sharks.

THR: Set disbelief aside, and primal phobias may well suffice to get you happily to the other side of this adventure.

 

Bloody Disgusting: although Uncaged sometimes struggles to find new ways to thrill us, shark-style, there are just enough scares to make this sequel a decent matinee.

 

The Guardian: As an unrelated sequel to a film that was originally set to premiere on the bottom shelf of a supermarket, this is better than it needs to be.
