The original was a thick black comedy that had very local humor. This looks like a slick update focused on the persona of Liam Neeson, and I have no qualms about it. Same plot with a different approach. It appears to have enough of its own identity to entice someone who enjoyed (or even heard of) the original.

Was already looking forward to this, but that tweet has be really excited now. And I've generally liked most of Neeson's "old dude murders everyone" movies. 

 

February is looking pretty exciting, with this and Dragon hinting at pretty good quality, LEGO coming off a beloved predecessor, and Alita/What Men Want/Happy Death Day having potential.
