$20.0m in Spain means about €17.85m. That implies about €2.8m whole week. I can not compare with previous week because we had a discount period with very inflated weekdays, but I am guessing 1.7-1.8 weekend, what means about 30% drop relative to last weekend (€2.49m).

hmm .. excellent performance in Spain ...  from next weekend strong competition will be start ..

life time estimate ???

I was hoping 50+, wouldn’t be shocked if actuals scraped by.

Nevermind. When taking into account China, and above all the many freefalls of the other blockbusters (not just Dark Phoenix and Godzilla, but also Pikachu and Pets), the drop does look great.

$29mn OS-C-J-K weekend compared to $47mn previous weekend, which was Holiday weekend in Muslim regions. So great hold of just 39% drop.

Competitively The Jungle Book did $20mn in same set of markets.

The cume is $340mn Approx without these three, and shall add another $100mn to $440mn.

China gonna conclude at $54mn. Korea will go on to $55mn Approx as well while Japan at $100mn.

This gives $650mn Overseas. A little better marketing, and this film was doing over BaTB.

Being logical, it should land with €22m (same than BatB). But I think it will go higher, maybe €23m or even €24m. Astonishing result.

it still can hit 1 bill if it holds a little better , as of now the movie seems to finish around 980, some better holds  1 bill could happen

100 in rest off of 30 weekend is a bit much for my blood. But on the other hand, 70+ Korea is not so far-fetched. 630-670 or so seems right, 900 club succeeding with ease 👍

Ohh, I forget to mention. The Jungle Book added $69mn after that $20mn weekend.

They really fucked up the marketing , trailer and the buzz before release and we can be disappointed about that. But hey ! Rather than saying “what if they don’t fuck it up” “it should be over Batb” or Bla bla bla and feeling disappointed, would be better if we just appreciate this kind of rare leggy run and this kind of ‘epic comeback’ ( from troubled movie to hit blockbuster). Only very very few movies managed to do that. Always looks on the positive sides.

Besides , maybe the bad buzz helped the film cause it made people went to see this movie with super low expectation therefore easier to please and create great reception among them. Or maybe If they didn’t fuck it up somehow , it would open big but with standard drop leading to same final numbers. Just a different kind of run. We’ll never know.
