Spiderman - Far From Home has taken a good start of around 35% especially the English version which is doing higher occupancy. Spiderman is a good brand in India though its not gone through the roof like The Avengers.

Spiderman 3 released in 2007 remains the biggest HIT in India out of all the Spiderman films if we adjust for ticket rates. That film did around 40 crore nett in 2007 and held the record for the highest Hollywood grosser for 2 years until it was beaten by 2012.

Spiderman - Far From Home has taken the fifth best initial of the year if we count the Hindi films as making it three Hollywood films in the top five. Bharat and Kabir Singh being the only Hindi films. The opening of this film is very similar to Captain Marvel though this film is a Thursday release as compared to a Friday release of that film. The top ten initials of 2019 on morning of release including Hollywood releases this year are as follows.

1. Avengers - Endgame - 77.5%

2. Bharat - 60%

3. Kabir Singh - 40%

4. Captain Marvel - 37.5%

5. Spiderman - Far From Home - 35%

6. Gully Boy - 32.5%

7. Kalank - 30%

8. Total Dhamaal - 30%

9. Kesari - 22.5% (released on Holi when morning shows have limited audience)

600mn through Sunday. Easy.

Will probably fall below 600 mil and reach around 525-550 mil instead. I'm guessing around a 2-2.1x multiplier from that number (CM had a 2.5x multiplier from OW) because of the more spread out release dates.

This thing is outperforming CM in most markets and that movie did 245M in the same set of OS-China this weekend. Assuming ~250M for FFH, i don't see how it cannot at least manage 575M.

with 250 , we have 170 in china and 180 dom so 600

ps captain marvel did 303 os weekend without china thats around 217 right ? or did i miss something ? so how the movie made 245 ? except if it is from thursday
