Operation Finale:

900k (-10%)

2.5M (+180%)

3.5M (+40%)

3.5M (-)

2.9M (-16%)

9.5M 3 Day, 14.3M 6 day

Strong start considering it's not even in 2k theaters. It'll probably get a 300-400 theater expansion next week

- (1) Crazy Rich Asians $2,685,000 -38% 3,526   $86,272,373 15
- (2) The Meg $1,140,000 -30% 4,031   $109,073,071 20

Strong hold for Meg.

1.1 Thu (-3.5%)

2.2 (+100%)

2.9 (+30%)

3.5 (+20%)

2.8 (-20%)

= 11.4 4-day

109.7 + 1.1 + 11.4 = 122.2 by LD Monday

122.2+11.4*1.5 = 139.3 if it adds 1.5x the 4-day weekend to it's cume

Sorry to Bother You will overtake Detroit to become Annapurna's highest grossing movie (not for long, though, hopefully). 17-18m is a strong sum for it.

Incredibles 2's expansion is most comparable to that of Inside Out, whose PTA dropped 38% on the LD weekend. The same drop would give I2 a 2.8m three-day, a 600.5m cume through Sunday, and from there it'd be looking at a 605-607m final total.

Yeah things would need to go wrong for a McKay movie with an Bale/Adams/Carell/Rockwell/Perry assemble Cheney movie to not go over 20m dbo.

They are really taking a big swing there:

40m below the line with that above the line list of names, could be a 60m gross independant movie with an independant distributor.
