so who wins dom, MI6 or Ant Man&the Wasp? MI6 wins WW and OS easily but dom may be a photo finish.

Looks like MI easy after this weekend. AM&TW might struggle with 217, whereas Fallout should at least be closer to 220 than 215.

You really put me in my place. See you a week from now.

You really think this movie is going to drop 35% after it dropped 6% last weekend, and 10% this past weekend? Good luck with that. 🤣

Cocaine is a helluva drug.

And I will be here next weekend.

You're being very smug about this but you really should go have a look at what the drops usually are for the post-Labor Day weekend.

A 35% drop would be a terrific hold for that frame.

Look at the Help, 6 senses, and the others great leggers follow up to the labor day weekend, 35% is possible, it is the drop following an inflated by the holidays weekend. A super nice 24% is also possible obviously, but 3% better than The Help drop (-38.8%) is not some heresy.

Thanks. :) It's hard to keep up with the roller-coaster but one thing remains constant - both over Solo.

Throw in TLJ and that's four movies over 600m in less than a year.

whew.png

I'll make it an even scarier thought: TLJ could have made it to 700M+ easily (maybe it could have touched 800M+) if it hadn't been as badly rejected by audiences as it was. Imagine if, in less than a year, Disney stood up there with two 700M+ hits and two 600M+ ones. (It explains the gigantic flops of Solo and A Wrinkle In Time: they had to sell some movies to the Devil to achieve the success they've had with their bigger hits.)

And next year, they have The Lion King, Avengers 4 and Star Wars IX, three more films with clear 600M+ DOM potential. Add Toy Story 4, Frozen 2 and Captain Marvel to the 300M+ club..... we might as well accept our mouse overlords while we can.

TLJ just needed to be more of a crowd pleaser to get that extra 100 million.  The days over December were still powerful.  However, they declined. From 30/day to 20/day etc. Jumanji however compensated for all that.

TLJ had to take a turn from the first so it can land on the third.  It should be tough to make the middle one a fairy tale, but TLJ still set a few records, made some awards, and should get beat by larger crowds next time.
