Looper numbers would be pretty good for this, especially since this cast doesn't really have box-office draws like DiCaprio in it It's more applicable to Murder on The Orient Express - but that did about the same as Creed domestically $102m v109m It doesn't have the Christie IP tag but reviews are much better - so who knows how that balances out. Also it reportedly plays like a comedy as well as a mystery.

Just citing an example
LonePirate
It is clear from the TIFF premiere that James Bond needs to break new ground with Evans playing a romantic interest for Craig’s Bond in the next movie. I wonder how Chris likes his martinis. 2

The Futurist
This movie puts Rian Johnson in the perfect position to write and direct all the Star Wars movies coming in the next decade.
Giggi
A good murder mystery movie is hard to come by, so I hope this film is a success for that reason. I still imo that the movie would do better domestically at the Boxoffice if it’s release in early November.
WeneedtotalkaboutKevin
This thing is still 100% on RT. A modern masterpiece ! An instant classic !

Think some of the MCU fans are forgetting that Chris Evans has literally never been in a successful film outside of the Marvel franchise. Daniel Craig is also a nobody outside of Bond, the only things that were hits were back in his early career before he was a household name. Pretty much everything he's done has flopped. Its doomed to be Bad Times but with good reviews.

I don't think Chris Evans was the draw for Snowpiercer to make 59M in south korea

Cooper Legion
I think this might do really well for itself, but if so it would be because of reception, not the actors. I mean it’s 2019, do people really think actors are the driver of theatrical attendance except for some pretty rare exceptions? Cap
If you look at Evans non-MCU filmography compared to say Hemsworth, most of his films were all low-budget, non-event films. I think it's misleading to say he's not a box office draw when he's picking limited release films to star in.

Not Another Teen Movie and Scott Pilgrim vs The World weren't huge BO hits but they both had residual cultural impact. Edit - Also, you're moving the goalposts here. Initially you said "no successful movies", now you're saying "no hits". Those aren't the same thing. He has not been in a successful film in domestic box office outside marvel. sorry if it was ambiguous suggestion. Scott Pilgrim is a prime example of a commercial failure that gained cult status so I'm not sure what your point is with that one.
Valonqar
Very few actors are draws outside of franchises for age of movie stars is long gone. All remaining movie stars are from past eras which is why none of them is under 40.
