Rian's gotta appeal to the Last Jedi haters somehow. If they don't want women swinging lightsabers, they definitely don't want women swinging knives unless it's in a kitchen.

This is shooting next month, so it could theoretically be done and ready sometime next fall. Depends on what distributor picks it up.

EXCLUSIVE: Blade Runner 2049 and War Dogs actress Ana de Armas is set to join Daniel Craig, Chris Evans, Lakeith Stanfield and Michael Shannon in writer-director Rian Johnson’s Knives Out.

 

Shoot is due to begin next month on the modern-day murder mystery which will see Craig star as a detective.  Stanfield will also play a detective. Plot and character details are largely being kept under wraps.

Apparently:

Daniel Craig signed up for Knives Out after James Bond 25 swapped directors and had its shooting schedule bumped to March 2019.

 

Craig must be quite powerful on those production by now and if there was any close they agreed to lift it once the schedule opened up.
