It's a Franchise not a one off -  they care.

I imagine if there is a Nun 2 and I think there will be, they’ll probably replace the director and perhaps the screenwriter. They did that with Annabelle Creation and that lead to improved reception and box office.

Well, TCU has lived after Annabelle, can live and after Corin Hardy.

Exactly

plus the Conjuring 2 fell 63%. The Nun will reach the heights of the recent entries despite the second weekend drop. That’s why I said I doubt they’ll care. They don’t have to do a Nun 2.

I think they care but it's more like "guys, we know what we have to do". And also I suppose the Gary Dauberman has a good chance not to be a director of the "Annabelle 3". Cause after one fuck-up franchise can easily recover, it already did this before, but the second bad movie in a row... I don't think producers don't understand what can happen in this case...

@KeepItU25071906 is your icon a photo shopped Nicolas Cage as The Nun or is it just a happy coincidence?

If Christopher Robin makes it pass $92M this weekend, no way in hell would Disney pass up the opportunity to push it over the $100M mark like they did with AWIT!

I doubt they'll need to push it at all.

It can easily do $8m more off a $3.5m w/e especially when it's having such good week to week drops.

PD dropped 51% after LD w/e for a $3.1m total and did $6.1m more.  Even with the same drops after this w/e CR would be near $99m and it's holding far better.

SOmeone said the Nun was an “empty” movie and I think that’s the perfect way to describe it. The sets and design of the movie looked awesome, but it felt hollow inside. Amateur direction in some scenes and weak story.
